Alexander Dickow a grandi à Moscow, Idaho. Bénéficiaire de la bourse Fulbright (2003-2004, France) et de la bourse Jacob K. Javits (2005-2010), il étudie la littérature française dans le programme doctoral de Rutgers University, et envisage de se spécialiser dans la poésie du vingtième siècle. Il s’intéresse également à la littérature médiévale, aux traditions et aux auteurs oubliés ou marginalisés, à la rhétorique et à l’esthétique. Poète et traducteur, il écrit en français et en anglais. Son premier livre de poésies, Caramboles, paraîtra chez Argol Editions en octobre 2008.
Alexander Dickow grew up in Moscow, Idaho. A Fulbrighter (2003-2004, France) and a Jacob K. Javits Fellow, he studies French literature in Rutgers University’s doctoral program, and plans to specialize in the 20th-century lyric. He is also interested in medieval literature, in forgotten or marginalized authors and traditions, and in Rhetoric and Esthetics. Poet and translator, he writes in French and in English. His first book of poetry in French and English, Caramboles, is forthcoming in October 2008 from Argol Editions.
