much!-the way words are displaced to change perspective makes me think a bit of art brut, or children’s art, or a person first when young learning their way in another language-and also of James Joyce, the way language changes and grows in Portrait of the Artist-it is operating on many levels at once—from the childlike and endearing, through the humourous to a very strong handling of the way the words shape the way we see within the poem-and also the way the sounds are heard-by making them be out of
their “usual” orderings-there’s an estrangement in the soundings that makes them very musical-close to singing in many lines much more than speaking-or writing-one hears them aloud so very clearly-each syllable-[raining/rhyming]-very remarkbale pieces-i dont know any quite like them at all and greatly like them-thank you so much! and they work very beautifully in both languages-”

“Je viens de relire encore tous tes poèmes en ligne-Je les aime tellement!-cette façon de déplacer les mots pour changer la perspective me fait penser un peu à l’art brut, ou à l’art des enfants, ou à une personne qui apprend tout jeune encore la langue pour la première fois-et aussi à James Joyce, comment la langue change et développe au cours du Portrait de l’artiste-ça fonctionne sur beaucoup de plans à la fois-de l’enfantin et du touchant en passant par l’humour, à une maîtrise puissante des effets des mots sur notre façon de voir au coeur du poème-et aussi des effets sonores-en dérangeant leur ordre “habituel”-il y a une étrangeté dans les sonorités qui les fait très musicales-proches du chant dans beaucoup de vers, plus que du parlé-ou encore de l’écrit-on les entend comme à haute voix si clairement-chaque syllabe-[rimant/en pluie]-pièces très remarquables-je n’en connais pas qui y ressemblent vraiment et les apprécie beaucoup-merci tellement! et ils marchent merveilleusement dans les deux langues-”
